Estée Lauder Intensive Recovery Ampules

The Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair product line is not new to me. I have used the Advanced Night Repair (ANR) Synchronized Recovery Complex II (Phew...long name much?) x 2 bottles. It has received accolades from many beauty experts btw.

Honestly, I failed to be wow'ed by 1st bottle and being sucker I purchased another bottle thinking, wishing, hoping, praying that mayyyyybe I didn't use the 1st bottle properly or just needed more exposure to it.

Then I read about the Intensive Recovery Ampules which is more of a concentrated treatment. "AH AH" I thought myself "Maybe what I needed is a concentrated treatment! Onward to make this expensive purchase!"
It costs a pretty penny ($110 USD)- 60 ampules in the jar.

Complimentary samples of the facial and eye serum with my purchase

It's not a treatment you "need" to use nightly. I actually use it ~ every 3 weeks:
  • After using my dermaroller-  to get better product absorption
  • After a long plane travel - when my skin feels lack-luster
  • When I have major event I want my skin prepped up for

If you have ever used the Elizabeth Arden's Daily Youth Serum* , then this will be reminiscent of that same "capsule" concept - twist to open, dispsense product to hands/fingers.

Once you pop open the tiny ampule, the consistency is that of a lightweight oil.

Each ampule has enough oil for your face and neck. It does not absorb into my skin quickly though. But it's a night time treatment and am ok walking around the house looking extra oily.

Results-
I expected to wake up to more luminous skin, but I didn't quite get that. I haven't noticed any isolated significant effects from using the ANR Ampules, but I think it complements my regimen when my skin needs a little "pick me up".

(Keep in mind, I probably use it less often than recommended)

Estée Lauder does recommend that you couple the Intensive Recovery Ampule with the ANR  Synchronized Recovery Complex II. However, having had no luck with the Synchronized Recovery Complex II, I was not about to buy it for a 3rd time.

*Elizabeth Arden Youth Serum (contains ceramides), which is cheaper ($78) and I can get 2-3 uses out of each of those capsules.
